I am a tutor and teacher in Wantagh, New York. I can help students with subjects such as grammar and mechanics, secondary school writing levels, editing essays, proofreading, college essay writing, English, world literature, and social studies. I am also very proficient with test prep for a variety of standardized exams, including ACT reading and writing, SAT verbal and writing, and AP English literature and composition. With over 35 years of teaching experience, I have enjoyed thoroughly being in this profession. I think that education is not merely about acquiring facts and doing well on exams, but it should lead to lifelong learning. Through education, people not only gain knowledge but also master valuable skills that can help them both in their personal and professional lives. Additionally, education can also increase the likelihood of a person enjoying life more in spite of their chosen profession. I attended both Cathedral College and CUNY - Brooklyn College. In my free time, I like to sing, play the guitar, draw, paint, and read.
